For as long as he can remember, Dave has enjoyed working with his hands and crafting beautiful projects out of wood. In the late 1970's, Dave and his father founded Ringwood Cabinetry, hand building quality custom cabinets in northeastern Illinois. It wasn't long before demand for their cabinets grew and they needed to expand, adding Kraftmaid semi-custom cabinets to their product line. The quality of the Kraftmaid line and Ringwood Cabinetry's reputation for outstanding service, fueled even greater demand. In 1984 Dave's wife Kim joined the business as head kitchen designer, bringing her eye for detail and practical design solutions to the business.

Over 35 years later they are still designing and building award winning kitchens. Their kitchens have been featured in national publications, they have designed kitchens internationally, and they have even participated in the popular show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

The key to their success and longevity has been the relationships they build with their clients. In each local neighborhood they can point to a home where they transformed a kitchen and built a friendship. The kitchen is the heart of a home where families, live, bond and make memories. Helping families get the most enjoyment out of their kitchen has always been the most rewarding part of Kim and Dave's business.

Builders of Hope Program

This year we had the honor of taking part in a kitchen remodel for the family of Marine Sergeant Daniel Tsutsumi who suffered a C5 spinal cord injury and is living with his parents in the house he grew up in. Without the support and hard work of our friends, family and vendors, none of this would have been possible. Please take a moment to watch the video.
